Rogue Wave Software is one of the largest providers of cross-platform software development tools and embedded components for the next generation of HPC applications.The company was founded in 1989 in Seattle, Washington, then moved to Corvallis, Oregon in 1990 and is now based in Boulder, Colorado. In November 1996, they had an Initial Public Offering NASDAQ: RWAV. In 2003, they were acquired by Quovadx, Inc NASDAQ: QVDX, which was in turn acquired by private equity firm Battery Ventures in July 2007.
