This book focuses on the possibilities of applying an interpretation of visual art in a nursery school, because the authors consider such an encounter with a work of art as a unique way of developing all aspects of a child's personality. The book defines the concept of visual arts and briefly deals with the issue of an interpretation of visual arts. It presents the educational project for the children, called Artists in Nursery School, which was verified in educational practice. It stresses the importance of implementing visual arts in pre-primary education.

The authors - Dagmar Krupova and Ivana Rochovska are mother and daughter. Their scientific interests are orientated towards science and art education in preschool and elementary school education, as well as the use of inquiry-based methods in pre-primary and primary education and the application of visual art in pre-primary education.
