Providing equitable and efficient public transport for the ever increasing demand with the limited sources available is a challenge in the developing world. The need to evaluate the efficiency of current public transport based on specific performance indicator is necessary to the opportunities and deficiencies of the system. As the cost of maintaining, expanding and extending public transport service is very high and unaffordable for developing countries. This research has investigated the performance of Public Transportation (P.T) services operating in Lahore with reference to objective and subjective methods of evaluation. Public transport need of the city is majorly fulfilled by the three major modes of transport as Buses, Wagons and Qin-qis.
