The main sources of errors are identified and commented on, and some of the solutions developed and proposed have been successfully tested.

Abschluss in kartografischem Ingenieurwesen an der UFPR (1992), Master in Bauingenieurwesen an der UFSC (1996), Doktorat in Verkehrsingenieurwesen an der USP (2003) mit einem Sandwich-Doktorat an der École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in der Schweiz. Sie koordiniert Beratungsunternehmen für digitale Kartierungsprojekte in Brasilien und ist Professorin am Fachbereich Kartographietechnik der UFPE.
