Chapter 1 is the introductory chapter. The reason for the research explained in this chapter. The importance of alternative/renewable energy and its potential in India is discussed.Chapter 2 introduces hybrid energy systems, gives possible ways of system integration and presents a proposed hybrid Wind/Solar/Diesel Generator energy system. Figure of proposed hybrid model of alternative energy systems is also given. A stand-alone and grid-connected system is compared. Chapter 3 describes the wind energy conversion system. Some theoretical terms and modeling of wind energy conversion system is presented. Some simulation results are also given and discussed. Wind Energy Conversion System is modeled in MATLAB/Simulink environment. Also the system is modeled and discussed with Diesel Generator as hybrid model.A solar energy conversion system is presented in chapter 4. Mathematical equations of the solar model is derived, and based on these equations simulation results are presented. MATLAB/Simulink model of Solar System is modeled. Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is also discussed. At the ends of all chapters¿ references are given.
