Diminishing oil reserves and increasing power requirements are posing a steep challenge for researchers to search for alternative fuels and renewable energy sources. So there is a tremendous need for alternative fuels or renewable energy sources or to develop technology to reduce consumption of these fuels especially liquid fuels.Nowadays natural gas, LPG, methane, ethanol, hydrogen, producer gas, vegetable oil, and burned edible oil etc. are under research to use them as alternative fuels. Producer gas can be a used as alternative fuel because of various reasons. This research work presented, developed a combustion model for a dual fuel (Hydrogen aided Diesel-Producer gas) compression ignition (CI) engine for single constant pressure combustion process as well as constant volume and constant pressure combustion process. The work then analytically examines the performance of a CI engine with the minimum use of diesel fuel as pilot fuel, with producer gas and hydrogen as secondaryfuel. The performance has been analyzed for work output and thermal efficiency.
