This book addresses some emerging issues in English Language Education in Morocco. It provides a brief overview of the development of ELT and its potential functions in the country. It also presents and discusses some key concerns and issues that have come to define English language education namely education on leadership, critical thinking and citizenship values. Dr. Abderrahim El Karfa is Professor of English and Applied Linguistics in the Department of English at the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences, Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah University, Fez, Morocco. His main research and training interests are Applied Linguistics, Leadership and Education, Language Education Policy, Citizenship Education.
