A challenging situation prevails in the organizational sectors in developing countries like India to recruit skillful incumbents. There exists a skills gap as the employers in the manufacturing sectors of Indian context continue to struggle to fill the growing number of job openings in their organizations due to a lack of critical thinking and communication skills in today's workforce. A survey was conducted in large, medium, small and micro enterprises (MSME) of the manufacturing sector dealing with heavy boilers, equipment, fabrication etc. The questionnaires were administered to the employers and the employees disclose the skills mismatch between the expectation of the employers and the performance of the employees with regard to the Communication skills. Concordantly, the book highlights the requirement of communication skills in English at the workplace and the adverse effects of skills mismatch in the organizations' performance due to low proficient English Language Proficiency. It also recommends the industry-academia interface to bridge the skills gap in the organizations.
