Autorenporträt
Steve and Allison Blay were fresh out of college when a short stint as nursing home volunteers became an unexpected lifelong passion. The couple founded "Friends Across the Ages," a nursing home outreach program that later received funding from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the United Way. Nearly twenty-five years later, they have trained hundreds of volunteers to visit residents of nursing homes, many of whom have no other regular visitors. They live in Gainesville, Florida with their two teenage children, who volunteer with them.
