Autorenporträt
Rinus Rijk has worked at TNO Quality of life, Zeist, The Netherlands for more than 40 years. He led the development of analytical methods for the determination of migration from food contact materials. During the last 15 years at TNO, he was mainly involved in the development of legislation of food contact materials and the evaluation of petitions to SCF, EFSA and the Dutch G4 Commission for authorization of food contact materials. Since his early retirement, he is an advisor for Keller and Heckman LLP and TNO.

Dr Rob Veraart was awarded his academic degree from the University of Amsterdam. He has been working at TNO Quality of Life, Zeist, The Netherlands since 1998. He is a project manager and is responsible for projects concerning the demonstration of compliance of food contact materials with several food contact legislations such as FDA, EU, German, Dutch and French legislations. He is in charge of the regularly updated booklet entitled "Verpakkingen- en gebruiksartikelen" published by Koninklijke Vermande, which is a compilation of published Dutch regulations on food contact materials.
