"The paramount question for most who will read this book is: How do I remain in a profession I love and continue to love the work I do when it seems like the entire system is working against me? It is my hope that you will find the answer to that question in this book. Quality healthcare is necessary for people in any society to thrive. We cannot have quality healthcare without nurses. So, we need to fix us-our profession, and we need to transform the healthcare settings where we work, creating environments that support the rendering of quality care"--
