Katie Alaniz, EdD, is director of the Center for Learning Innovations and Teaching Excellence (C-LITE) and a faculty member within the College of Education Behavioral Sciences at Houston Baptist University. As a teacher and digital learning specialist for over a decade in both public and private schools, including her service as a digital learning specialist at River Oaks Baptist School, Dr. Alaniz guides fellow educators as they meaningfully integrate digital tools and resources within their classrooms. David Q. Hao, MA, JD, is the Head of School at Veritas Christian Academy, an independent K-8 innovative classical school in Houston, TX. Previously, David worked in higher education as the Associate Vice President of Student Affairs at the University of St. Thomas (TX), the Dean of Student Success at Houston Baptist University, and taught as an adjunct professor at the graduate and undergraduate level.
