I live in Austin, Texas, and have lived there for over 45 years. I work at an apartment complex during the day, and write in my free time. I retired from the local School District in 2015. I am on the Austin Brain Injury Board, and have been for the past five years; I have been a member for the past twenty-nine years. We meet at the Mary Lee Foundation and are a support group for brain injury survivors and family members. We meet the first Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30. We help brain injury survivors and their loved ones deal with the concerns they might have along this long journey. I myself, having a brain injury, help these individuals deal with their needs.
