Autorenporträt
Dominique Arrouays is senior researcher at INRA, the French National Institute for Agronomic Research. His researches focus on digital soil mapping and soil condition monitoring. He is the scientific officer of the GlobalSoilMap project and the Chairman of the Global Soil Map and Soil Monitoring working groups of the International Union of Soil Sciences. Igor Savin is a corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences. He is a deputy director of V.V. Dokuchaev Soil Science Institute, and professor of RUDN University (Moscow, Russia). His scientific specialization is soil mapping and monitoring based on remote sensing data. Johan Leenaars joined ISRIC - World Soil Information in 2009 as the Legacy Soil Data Officer for the globally integrated- Africa Soil Information Service (AfSIS) and GlobalSoilMap project. Johan is a soil scientist graduated from Wageningen University and the emphasis of his work has been on sustainable soil fertility management in Sub-Saharan Africa for which he conducted numerous land-use system analyses at various scales. Alex McBratney is an Australian academician and soil scientist. He was one of the instigators and significant contributors to the concept of global digital soil mapping and assessment. He has been involved GlobalSoilMap since the first discussions in 2006.
