Autorenporträt
Jon Copley is Professor of Ocean Exploration and Science Communication at the University of Southampton, where his research as a marine biologist explores life in deep-sea environments around the world. He went on the first minisub dive to the world's deepest undersea hot springs, more than three miles deep on the ocean floor, and he has led expeditions discovering new species of deep-sea animals. Jon has worked with documentary makers to bring the exploration of the deep ocean to global audiences in TV series for the BBC and National Geographic, and he often shares the reality of our deep ocean planet in popular science articles and talks at science festivals.
