The book investigates the topic of creativity by focusing on C.S. Peirce's and A.N. Whitehead's accounts of novelty. It is divided into three parts. Maria Regina Brioschi is currently cultrice della materia (teaching and research assistant) in Gnoseology at the Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy), where she earned her Ph.D. in Philosophy. She is an active member of Associazione Pragma and has recently edited the new Italian translation of Whitehead's Process and Reality.
