Autorenporträt
Iona (Griggs) Hollins graduated from Hayti (Negro) Central High School as Valedictorian in May 1959. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Chicago State University and a Masters of Arts in School Counseling at Governors State University in Park Forest, Illinois. She spent 42 years teaching in the public schools of Chicago, Illinois and Berkeley, Missouri, and retired from the Ferguson-Florissant School District in 2007. She spends her time keeping up with her grandchildren, volunteering at her church library, researching and writing about her ancestry, teaching the women's Bible classes, and writing books for her grandchildren and her high school. This is her 14th book.
