Autorenporträt
I was born and raised in Tenino, Washington. I lived with my parents until I was seventeen. Tenino is a small town, so everyone knew pretty much about everyone else. I played a lot of sports to keep me out of trouble-not only that, but it kept me in shape. My favorite sport was a toss up from fast pitch and volleyball. Track and cross-country was okay, but if you know what those sports are, then you know that you get winded pretty easily, being that they are running sports. Basketball was okay, but not my forte. When I wasn't playing, then I was playing in the band for the games. When I was twenty, I was in a really bad car wreck that could have taken my life. Thank God it didn't though, because I would have missed out on the gifts that God gave me. I found out that I was pregnant at age twenty-one and had him on September 30, 2004. He was a blessing. I was always told that when I was younger that I would make a great mom. When I did tell my parents that I was pregnant, they changed their minds and told me that I needed help. I then proceeded to tell them that it was a boy, and they told me that it was going to make it doubly hard. At this point in my life, I was scared. I have to admit that one, but then again, who isn't with their first child? I was told my by parents that I needed to give the baby up because I was single and at that time wouldn't be a good mother. I didn't listen to them. When the time came for delivery, my mom told me that she is glad that I didn't listen to her because he was handsome and then told me that he looked like his dad. That made me mad. That is not something that I wanted to hear, considering the fact that I wasn't with the dad. When Christian was three, I got married and pregnant with another son. I knew that the name had to be Ezzekiel. I wanted all Christian names for my children to present themselves as to who I admired from the Bible. Ezzekiel was born on July 18, 2007, five weeks early and almost didn't make it. His left lung collapsed and had to have surgery to get it back up and going again. I couldn't touch him for six weeks, and I couldn't hold him for another two weeks. Those were the hardest days of my life. I was in constant prayer. I was also going through a rough time with my husband. Four weeks after I had Ezzekiel, I found out that I was pregnant with my daughter. She was born on June 27, 2008. She was supposed to be born on July 18 but didn't make it that long but earlier. Her name is Hadassah. She was named after Queen Esther out of the Bible. The year of 2011 was the next hardest year of my life. I got divorced from my husband and then four weeks later got my children taken away from me, after asking for just help. I lost my mind, so I got into my car and drove. I ended up in Tennessee where I had friends that I stayed with. Then I moved to Florida and met my hopefully soon-to-be husband in August of 2012. We have been together since. He is good, hardworking, good provider, tries to make sure that all is taken care of financially. His name is Timothy. What inspired me to write is an author by the name of James Patterson. He is almost the only author that I read. I would have to say that my favorite book from him is You've Been Warned. Very inspiring. I would like to get all of the books that he has written. To sum up about me, I would have lived by the old saying that things only get better. That is how I lived my life. I went from a bad living situation to a good one, then back to a horrible one and now getting back on track to a fantastic one. I do miss my children dearly, but I know one day that I will have them back and never let go of them again. If it wasn't for them and God, I honestly don't think that I would still be alive today.
