This book is a short, fun recipe book for eating disorder recovery that tells the story of an idea of helping, and finding a different career path because of it. Sam grew up in Pennsylvania and has lived in numerous locations such as Boston, Virginia and now Chicago. Although Sam does not practice esthetics currently, she was a licensed esthetician in 4 states and trained in laser therapy. Coming up with the concept of Safe Sam's made Sam realize she wanted to work in the eating disorder field. She currently works for an eating disorder treatment center in Chicago while in school working towards her R.D. to become a dietician working with eating disorders. She also serves on Project Heal's Chicago chapter board as the outreach specialist. Aside from baking, Sam loves being with family and friends, traveling, art, interior decorating and animals, especially her dog Chica. She loves participating in NEDA walks and hopes to help people struggling in their recovery.
