Dr. D.D. Yongo wurde am 14. Februar 1962 geboren und stammt aus Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria. Er studierte Geschichte an den Universitäten von Jos und Nigeria Nsukka. Er hat einen B.A., M.A. und Ph.D. in Geschichte. Dr. Yongo war der erste Leiter des Fachbereichs Geschichte und strategische Studien an der Fed. Univ. DutsinMa. Derzeit ist er außerordentlicher Professor in der Abteilung für Geschichte.
