This book seeks to understand the process of political organization of the Socialist Convergence in Fortaleza during the years 1978 (year of its foundation) until 1992 (year of its expulsion from the Workers' Party due to the slogan of Fora Collor!). We also seek to analyze the struggle for recognition of this political group by the Brazilian State, as a group persecuted by the civil-military dictatorship. Through the Caravans of Truth of 2013, the Brazilian State recognized the Socialist Convergence as a group persecuted by the military dictatorship, with members subjected to torture. We seek to carry out in this research a sociological reading that verifies why the Socialist Convergence project has not been able, in its own way and time, to achieve its goals of a Brazilian Socialist Revolution. Seeking this form of understanding is a collective task that questions our society about the democratic conquests that overcame the military period, by having groups that disputed society and redemocratization in the midst of repression.
