Thane's experience caused him to dream every night. Both in real life, as well as in his dreams, Thane begins sensing and connecting to a natural energy coming from the Earth itself. This energy is personified in his reoccurring dreams when he becomes an Arthurian heroic character named Sarghon, prophesized and destined to save his world from a dark and powerful tyrant King. Surrounded by a sentient forest, mythical beasts, and new, magical friends, Sarghon (Thane's dream alter-ego) sets off on a fantastical adventure. In Thane's life in the real world, he follows his instincts, leading him on a reckless mission of environmental passion, attempting to do all he can to save the planet from the failures of human negligence and pollution. He ends up attempting to stop a nuclear test on the Tahitian atoll of Mururoa, sparking an adventure just as wild as in his dream world. Both worlds begin to weave back and forth, influencing each other in dramatic and unexpected ways, as each scenario plays out in an epic tale! * As our unlikely hero sets off on a journey of discovery in both worlds, mythology and reality intertwine with environmental and sociopolitical significance. Something is triggered in both Thane and his alter ego Sarghon, giving them a profound connection to nature. As Thane begins to discover compassion and empathy for the Earth, Sarghon tries to save his world from a Dark Lord who wants to use Sarghon's elemental powers of earth, air, fire and water for his own manipulative purpose. * Bravery, adventure and destiny are strong themes of this story -...as well as environmentalism, fantasy and spirituality. Paul Bradley Sterman has been writing since he was a child. While mostly a writer of music, poetry, and short stories, his creativity and wild imagination has led to this novel. Being an LA native, Paul is first and foremost a creative spirit, continually striving to be innovative and artistic. As a writer, he has been published in IN-LA Magazine, and as an international pop-music composer/lyricist throughout Europe. Paul's writing also includes musical theater: book, lyrics and music of the musical, CHASING DREAMS, an original pop/rock/Broadway style musical.
