Hayato Ishiyama is one of the most famous ramen journalists in Japan. In college, he started the Ramen Kenkyukai, an officially recognized ramen study group. He then devoted himself to ramen and has eaten at over 6,000 ramen shops. Ishiyama has used his expertise and wide knowledge of the ramen world to assist with the production of TV shows, aid in the development of instant noodle soups, and to help establish ramen shops across the globe.
