The purpose of this work is to empirically test which is the actual impact of status¿ dynamics on the performance or outcomes of group of people. More specifically, it has been chosen as context, the NBA league which is the professional basketball league in North America. Hence, it has been developed a multiple regression model in order to test a set of two different hypotheses: firstly it has been scrutinized the presence of an effective impact of status on the performances of NBA teams, trying additionally to figure out which of the two used-status variables had a more impact on the analyzed model. Secondly, the attention was focused on the positive or the negative impact of status on performance. The findings confirmed the effective positive impact of the status variables; thus enriching the portion of literature on status¿s dynamics, which bear that quality, can be considered as a solid signal of the quality of results or performances of the analyzed actors.
