As a continuum of previous trends in ELT, Intercultural Communicative Competence (ICC) stresses the importance of equiping the twenty-first century learner with the necessary attitudes,, knowledge and skills to play effective roles in today's globalized world. As a result, this research investigated Moroccan EFL university students' ICC and how this envisaged outcome was developed among students as they move from lower to higher levels. Furthermore, the findings of this researh paved the ground to reflect upon various implications and applications in the EFL classroom.
