The monographic work "Higher Education in Post-Communist Albania 1992-2013" is intended to inform the readers about the most important processes, developments and trends shedding light on the progress of Albanian education in the period 1992-2013. While shadding light on this process, as well as analyzing the most relevant factors shaping the policies pursued in the field of higher education, this study has defined and modeled two main lines: reorganization - substantial legislative amendments in the field of higher education in Albania and their approach to the concept of sustainable economic development in 1994-1999; and internationalization - implying the implementation of Bologna process and efforts as a part of integration into Europe Higher Education Area
