Librarians play an important role, so the understanding of their attitudes can help to produce the better strategy for library automation development in university libraries. The aim of this study is to find out whether the age and using ICT for a long time have influenced the attitudes of librarians towards automation process. A survey was carried out among academic librarians in university libraries of Albania. This study told us that Albanian academic librarians have positive attitudes towards library automation system. This book will be helpful for all the persons who will be interested in the development of automation process in Albania and the other countries. A special strategy is necessary for the implementation of an integrated library system inAlbanian university libraries and the cooperation between libraries through common system. Academic librarians are waiting for this.

Monika Luarasi (1973) has finished the study at the Faculty of Arts, Ljubljana in 2012 and she was assigned the title ¿Magistrica Bibliotekarstvä for Library Science. Since 2013 she is working as a cataloger of the regional automation program COBISS System at the Civil Engineering & Architectural Faculty at the Polytechnic University of Tirana.
