This underscores the global herbal renaissance on diabetes therapy. Rigorous investigations to confirm its excellence over the existing therapies is thus necessary. Very few time-tested researches have been carried out in this regards. Item J. Atangwho holds a doctorate in medical biochemistry from University of Calabar where he also lectures. He was the winner of the 2010 Best Lecturer of the Year Award by the University Medical Students Union. As a Senior Research Scientist at the Endocrine Research Unit, he has contributed numerous articles to scholarly publications.
