Handloom industry gives employment to lakhs of people it is thus a productive employment generator in the rural and urban areas it focusing on development of the area.

Dr. Gokul Acharjee ist ein professioneller Akademiker, der in Agartala lebt. Er promovierte 2013 am IIT in Kharagpur in ländlichem Management. Er verfügt über 12 Jahre Erfahrung in der Industrie, Lehre, Forschung und im Management. Zurzeit arbeitet er als Leiter der Abteilung für ländliches Management an der ICFAI-Universität.
