Produktbeschreibung
Blood transfusion set is a medical device that is used for the administration of blood in the recipient's body through intravenous cell line. Many different companies used several different techniques to sterilize this medical device but still there found the chance of contamination to the patients. To avoid any hazardous effect to the patients it is necessary to completely sterilize the medical devices. The most advance technique that is being used for the sterilization of medical devices is Gamma radiations which the most promising technique. it kills almost all the microorganisms present on medical devices. In the present study Blood transfusion set is sterilized by Gamma Radiations at different doses and a specific dose is optimized at which Blood Transfusion Set is completely sterilized. That is, no microbial dose was analyzed after the exposure of gamma radiations. so we can say that Gamma Radiation sterilization technique is most reliable for medical devices.
Autorenporträt
Khadija Riaz has completed her Bachelor Degree in Biotechnology Department and researched on "Analysis of microbial load on Blood transfusion set and dose optimization for reducing microflora by Gamma Radiation." The purpose of this research was to completely sterilize Blood transfusion set to avoid any harmful effect to human health.
