As is the case in most developing countries in Africa, school dropout in Zambia has been found to affect rural adolescents more than it does their urban counterparts. This book therefore seeks to enlighten readers about the factors that influence adolescents to drop out of school in rural communities through an in-depth study of a rural community of Southern Zambia. Through the unique triadic approach of viewing school dropout through the eyes of the young people who dropped out of school, their parents, and teachers who taught them, this book demonstrates that school dropout is a complex problem that is influenced by a variety of interrelated factors.
Autorenporträt
Ecloss Munsaka has been teaching educational psychology at the University of Zambia since 2003. He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Cape Town. Ecloss has published journal articles in international journals and has since published two books. He has also served as peer reviewer for the Journal of Adolescent Research.
