The province of Imbabura, located in a privileged geographical space, was declared a World Geo Park by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, 2018). Otavalo, is a canton belonging to Imbabura, cradle of the Kichwa Otavalo ethnic group, whose millenary culture has identified them through the passage of time. However, the identifying customs and traditions of the region have been lost in the new generations. Thus, the purpose of this bookis the design of a printed magazine as a tool for the dissemination of traditions and customs of the Kichwa Otavalo people.

En su formación académica logra los títulos de: Diseñador Fotográfico en el Instituto Metropolitano de Diseño, Ingeniero en Diseño Gráfico en la Universidad de Otavalo. Se dedica a la fotografía documental y el diseño editorial, usando como recursos la investigación científica, el lenguaje visual y la historia para crear proyectos independientes.
