Elango Kolanthasamy est un chercheur de doctorat (Entomologie) à l'Université agricole du Tamil Nadu. Il a passé son B.Sc (Ag) dans la première classe avec distinction et a obtenu la médaille commémorative M.A.Peer Muhammed. Il a ensuite fait son M.Sc (Ag) avec une spécialisation en entomologie à la TNAU. Il est spécialisé dans la gestion de la lutte biologique contre les parasites.
