A biometric system is basically a pattern recognition system being employed in averse circumstances. Since, biometric system like any traditional security system is revealed to mischievous adversaries, which can contrive data to make the system abortive by implicating its integrity. Current theory and design methods of biometric systems do not consider vulnerability to such adversary attacks. Therefore, analysis of classical design approaches is an open issue to inquire whether they precede to contrive secure systems. In order to build, secure biometric systems it is requisite to comprehend and investigate the threats and thus to enroot the adequate counter measures and robust systems designs, both methodologically and strategically, if required. Consequently, the accession of theory and design methods of biometric systems is compulsory to convoy the security and credibility of biometric systems in adversarial circumstances.
