It is no longer sufficient for a new graduate to only possess knowledge of an academic subject, since today's challenging world has put forward that the acquisition of the skills are more and more vital for the 21st century learners, which are believed to be developed within one particular context (in our case in higher education institutions) and then they could be applied in another situations, like employment or life in general. Since generic employability skills are crucial for an effective performance not only in the workplace, but also in life, HEIs should promote the development of those general skills that are relevant to a broad range of disciplines. Consequently, this paper sheds light on the opportunities of promoting the development of generic employability skills in Georgian higher education institution based on a case, so that, it aims at determining the perceptions of students and lecturers regarding facilitating generic employability skills development in study process.
