Meanwhile each project is unique and involves a lot unpredictable tasks, tight and urgent time flame and complicated workgroup cooperation. Therefore, the construction industry has long been recognized as a stressful industry in which a great deal of stress is placed on various construction professionals. In view of the above, the current study aims to investigate the intimate relationships between various sources of stress (i.e., stressors), stresses, coping behaviours, and performances of construction professionals in Hong Kong (HKC-Ps) through the development of a comprehensive Stressors- Stress-Coping behaviors-Performance model for HKC-Ps.

Ms Isabelle CHAN & Dr. Mei-yung LEUNG have been researching on stress management of construction professionals for years. Dr. LEUNG, who is the supervisor of CHAN s Mphil & PhD studies at the CityU of HK, is also an expertise in the areas of VM, FM, & education. Both of them have published a number of stress- related international papers.
