Autorenporträt
I have been writing short stories since the mid-to-late 1990s, but mostly since 2004. I've had a lot of experience with people in my past jobs, and particularly in the present since my current position is a Computer Science teacher at a Scarborough, Ontario high school. I've been a teacher for almost 11 years full-time. I am also a mother and a grandmother. I've studied psychology and sociology at university and have a fair number of English courses to my credit. I was a part-time English tutor for two years at Seneca College (1993-1995) and I won Seneca College's Tom Proctor award in 1995 for Business Communications. I love writing about people, their relationships with each other, and the many things in life that affect them. This comes largely from my personal life experience, but is not limited to that. I live in Ajax, Ontario and have been living there in my own home for a year now. Ajax is where I want to make my home from now on. My roommate, my son and my grandson all live with me.
