Autorenporträt
Frédéric Bauden, Ph.D. (1996), is Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Liège. His research focuses on Mamluk historiography, diplomatics, and codicology. He is the editor of the bookseries Bibliotheca Maqriziana (Leiden: Brill). He is completing a book on al-Maqrīzī's collection of opuscules. Malika Dekkiche, Ph.D. (2011), is Assistant Professor of Medieval Middle Eastern and Mediterranean History at the University of Antwerp. Her research focuses on premodern Islamic diplomacy, state formation, religious patronage and more generally on the history of the Mamluk sultanate, Timurid and Turkmen dynasties.
