Gwendolyn Steverson has been writing poetry since she was a child, and she has often used it as a sort of therapy. In her books, she aims to show children the importance of self-love, and expressing, understanding, and nurturing one's feelings. Those were skills she admits she has not always possessed, and had to learn along the way. All her books and writings endeavor to help children grasp mature concepts in a simple to understand way. Gwendolyn's greatest passion is being a mother. Motherhood has been a huge inspiration for her own emotional and personal growth, and she truly feels that instilling self-love, compassion, and confidence gives the greatest foundation to children, and are the perfect tools to help them navigate through life with a positive outlook. Gwendolyn lives in the Washington DC area with her husband and two children.
