Autorenporträt
Joseph Mitchell was an American writer and journalist. After writing for publications such as the New York Herald Tribune, the New York World, and the New York World-Telegram, he left journalism for a brief stint on a cargo ship that transported trunks from Leningrad. He soon returned to journalism and had a nearly 60-year career at The New Yorker.
