This book will be helpful to gather basic knowledge about available indigenous ornamental fish species of West Bengal. Thorough compilation of available information on bionomics of all these fish species will also be helpful for the readers.

He has completed his M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Fisheries Technology and Zoology respectively from Department of Zoology, University of Calcutta. His basic areas of research are diversity of indigenous ornamental fish in South Bengal, trade of indigenous ornamental fishes of West Bengal and study of fish biology.
