There are microorganisms with the capacity to disintegrate chemical elements that are harmful to the environment. Especially fungi are very capable of doing this. The contaminating compounds are mainly plastics and hydrocarbons (motor oil), which are contaminating the soil and the environment in general. There are microorganisms with the capacity to disintegrate chemical elements that are harmful to the environment. Especially fungi are very capable of doing this. The contaminating compounds are mainly plastics and hydrocarbons (motor oil), which are contaminating the soil and the environment in general. Soil fungi were isolated and tested to evaluate their degrading capabilities. These were placed in a kind of wet chamber with a substrate of the material that was desired to disintegrate (burned motor oil), left for 8 days and the progress of the fungi with their growth on the substances was verified daily. The mushrooms were subjected to 24 and 30°C of temperature to compare in which it has greater effect, the two mushrooms presented a good level of disintegration of the material, doing it from 40 to 100% in the case of the oil totemperature of 24°C and between 50 to 94% at 30°C. The genus found with this capacity for degradation is Aspergillus, with a capacity of 71.6%.
