This book of "Good Governance In Local Government" is my original work which expresses the practical (pragmatic) situation in Sasiga Woreda, East Wollega Zone, Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. It has both theoretical and Practical situations of Good Governance in the selected place of study. This book has a paramount advantage to assess and know Good Governance in Local Government in developing countries such as my Country, Ethiopia. Since good governance is a legitimate, accountable and effective way of obtaining and using public power and resources in the pursuit of widely-accepted social goals, this book also entails crucial points to practice good governance in local government. On the other hand, local government is a body that executes government duties at local level. It is a self-government involving the administration of public affairs in each locality by a body of elected representatives of the local community known as the local council.
