Dawood Mamoon a été directeur du Bureau de la recherche, de l'innovation et de la commercialisation (ORIC) à l'Institut Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK), la principale université d'ingénierie du Pakistan, de 2020 à 2022. Il a été professeur d'économie à l'Université de gestion et de technologie (UMT), qui figure parmi les 500 meilleures universités du monde.
