Cheree Olivier a obtenu ses diplômes de licence (2015) et de maîtrise (2017) à l'université de Pretoria, en Afrique du Sud. Elle a travaillé comme tutrice au département de droit privé pendant deux ans et a travaillé pendant six mois dans l'unité des droits des réfugiés et des migrants de Lawyers for Human Rights.
