Climate change is probably the most complex and challenging environmental problem facing humanity today. The earth's climate has already been altered to such an extent that mitigation or the efforts to reduce the concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere alone is inadequate. Therefore coping and adaptation to the impacts of climate change is increasingly necessary. Significant advances have been made in the development of climate change coping and adaptation strategies by various humanitarian agencies, however, Baringo County still suffers from high vulnerability to climate change hence affecting livelihoods. This book gives both quantitative and qualitative data on the involvement of humanitarian agencies in climate change coping and adaptation, a case study of Baringo County Kenya.
