Dr Deborah Jordan is a cultural historian, writer and independent scholar. For over a decade she also worked as a co-operative weather observer for the Bureau of Meteorology. Formerly associated with the GCI, University of Queensland, she is now Senior Research Fellow (adj) with the National Centre for Australian Studies at Monash University.
