Climate change has become a topical issue in recent time because of its largely detrimental effects on natural and human systems. In spite of recent technological advances, weather and climate are still the most important variables in agricultural production. It is thus of paramount importance that measures are taken to mitigate the consequences of climate change by way of research and adaptation since most of agriculture is rain-fed. The study examines the effects of climate change on the yield of selected grain crops and farmers' adaptation strategies in Sokoto State, Nigeria. The study design involved the collection and analyses of rainfall, temperature and yield data for millet, maize and sorghum from (1970 - 2017) for Sokoto State. The rainfall and temperature data were used to characterize the climate of the study area and to show the relationship between weather parameters and the yield of millet, maize and sorghum.
