Dance is a way of expression of the human being, whose intersubjectivity becomes a phenomenon of social representation, which is why the educational researchers create links with its actors, by understanding the dance manifestation, as an expression of the popular feeling in the community "Santa Barbara" belonging to the Libertador municipality of the State of Merida, Venezuela. The informants were three dancers, descendants of the founders, the protagonists of this study. For the collection of information and its analysis, discourses were developed in everyday contexts. The study concludes from the vision of its protagonists in giving an intangible value to the being that revitalises their ancestors, even when modern variants emerge, it resurfaces for the inhabitants of the sector, to preserve the folkloric dance every fourth of December in honour of their patron saint.
