This study is focused on the Art and Artists of Weya Community near Macheke about 170km South East of Harare and its implications for Art Education in Zimbabwe. Themes of Weya Art range from domestic village scenes to prostitution, changing roles for women socially and economically.

Mr.Mupondi Joseph George is a holder of Master of Education (Art and Design), University of Zimbabwe 2006 and also holds a Bachelor of Education (Art and Design), U.Z. 1999.He is a keen researcher on Art and Design Education and social phenomenon.He is currently a Lecturer of Art and Design at Great Zimbabwe University.
